Contact Shoes
Nicro was the first company in South Africa to manufacture contact shoes from rolled/forged copper, eliminating the problems associated with cast copper. These shoes feature a 98% IACS minimum conductivity and optimized water cooling passages, leading to improved power input and baking profiles.
Pressure Rings
Nicro develops and refurbishes all types of pressure rings, using improved materials and designs to increase their lifespan and performance. Our patented diaphragms and rolling seals enhance water pressure and cooling, while our new locking method eliminates stress points. Our pressure rings are available in copper and aluminum bronze, with a retractable push plate for ease of maintenance.
